My 14 most anticipated reads at the moment
Hey guys! We’re already two weeks into 2020, so I thought it would be time to dive into my TBR-list and see what I’m most excited about to read and create an anticipated reads list.
Now these anticipated reads are not all 2020 releases. Most are released in the past two years, but I didn’t have time (or money tbh) to read the book.
With a TBR-list of 490 books (!!), this dive was very very deep. There are so many great books, and so many hypes that I didn’t follow but that are still nagging at me. I had a hard time picking 14, because honestly, I’m excited to read all the 490 books on the list.
My anticipated reads
1. Sarah Dessen – The Rest Of The Story
I want to read every Sarah Dessen’s book, because the ones that I read are amazing. The only one I haven’t read yet is The Rest Of The Story. But with this being the last book that was published, I’m a little scared that it will be the last Sarah-book and I can’t handle that yet!
2. Sandhya Menon – There’s Something About Sweetie
Goodreads says it’s When Dimple Met Rishi #2, and I adored that book. So I think this book will be equally adorable, kick-ass and fun to read! (just like all Sandhya Menon’s books!)
3. Jenn Bennett – Starry Eyes
Or Serious Moonlight, or Chasing Lucky, or The Anatomical Shape of A Heart. Really, I read Alex Approximately and added all these books by Jenn Bennett because it was such an amazing read. I can’t wait to dive into her other books.
4. Katharine McGee – American Royals
Royal drama is my guilty pleasure, and I’m so excited to read it in a fiction novel. It sounds like the kind of thing I would fully enjoy and I’ve read some rave reviews, so I can’t wait to get my hands on this!
5. Beth O’Leary – The Flatshare
I got this book for Christmas from my boyfriend and it has been sitting on my shelf ever since. I cannot wait to start, BUT I have some arcs I need to read first. Every time I look at my shelf though, it’s calling me and I’m not sure how much longer I can put it off, ha!
6. Austin Siegemund-Broka & Emily Wibberly – Always Never Yours
Because of the hype and the gorgeous cover, this book is quite high on my anticipated reads list! Along with the other books by the duo; If I’m Being Honest and Time Of Our Lives
7. Emma Mills – Famous In A Small Town
Emma Mills is a name that I’ve seen a lot in the blogosphere the past year or so. And it looks like she writes the kind of books that I love, so of course I added them.
8. Erin Hahn – You’d be mine
Country music, a bad boy and probably romance? Count me in! This book sounds so good that I’ve been tempted to buy it several times (and yet I didn’t?).
9. Charles Duhigg – The Power Of Habit
Yes, I just added a non-fiction to this list. I have several on my TBR-list and honestly, they all sound pretty good. But this book is the one that I’ve heard a lot of people talking about, in a good way. Sometimes in a life-changing way. So yes, I want to read it and I want it now.
10. Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera – What If It’s Us?
Have you read the synopsis from this book? It’s the kind of romance that sounds real. They meet, but then things don’t go easy at all. Do I need to say more?
11. Emery Lord – The Map From Here To There
It’s the sequel to The Start Of Me And You, and I loved that book. Emery Lord writes amazing book with female leads that try really hard but have a difficult life. I’m here for it!
12. Morgan Matson – The Unexpected Everything
Just like with Sarah Dessen, I have read all her other books. She is high up there in the list of my favorite authors, so of course she had to make it in this list too!
13. Nina Kenwoord – It Sounded Better In My Head
A girl who is somewhat awkward, difficult family and friends relationships AND a romance. It sounds quirky, adorable and it’s perfect for a marshmallow like me.
14. Rachel Lynn Soloman – Our Year Of Maybe
I’m not totally sure why I’m drawn to this book so much, but the story sounds incredible, I’ve read some rave reviews and yet it isn’t totally hyped? Consider me interested and very excited!
This anticipated reads list is powered by my never-ending TBR-list. Therefore I have decided to challenge myself to read the books in this list this year (2020). On top of my 1 non-fiction book a month and 45 books in the year, I like to add this challenge so that some new and older books will finally be read by me.
Have you read any of these books? Which one did you like the most? Which one should I read first?
