It’s the last monthly wrap-up of the year! December is almost over and so is the year 2019. I’ll be doing a year wrap-up too, but first things first: let’s talk about December!

In the November wrap-up, I talked about being very excited for Christmas. While that was still the case, I also get a stressed with the holidays. The family asks a lot. I love family, but with Christmas I feel a little forced to be there. And there is so much food, which is totally unnecessary.

Anyway, we spent Christmas eve at my in-laws. We had lots of food and there were also some presents.

Christmas morning, my boyfriend and I had breakfast for two and I finally gave him my present, which has been laying under the tree for three weeks. He was very curious!

Then, on Christmas day we went to my family and had dinner there and played some old fashioned Dutch games. It was fun!

Tonight is New Years Eve. I hate NYE… But this year, we are having a party at our house, because some friends haven’t seen our new place yet, so we thought we combined a NYE party with our house warming party!

December in Books

Books I read

With everything going on in December, I haven’t read as much as I wanted to. Luckily, I’ve already hit my reading goal, so it wasn’t a big deal.

I’ve had this book for almost a year, but wanted to read it in December, since it’s about a family during Christmas. Was a fun holiday read!

I needed to read this before the movie comes out and also because it has been laying on my shelf for a long time. I don’t understand why I waited, cause this is a wonderful book!

Book I hauled

I got another eARC! And I won a giveaway! Plus I bought a book! And I also got a book for Christmas!

I’ve had such a good month. I was still excited about the eARCs I got from Netgalley in November, and then I got another one! Now I should really hurry and read them all!

Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane books had a giveaway and I won! Honestly, I couldn’t believe it, because I never win anything, but I was really excited! Dangerous Alliance sounds so intriguing and I can’t wait to read it.

I also bought a book, because I didn’t get one for Sinterklaas. I purchased The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, because it has been on my TBR-list for a long time AND the title is just amazing.

And then for Christmas, my boyfriend got me The Flatshare. Okay, I picked it out when we were Christmas shopping together, but I’m still very happy with it.

December in the blogosphere

I feel like December was a bad month for me, reading and blogging-wise. But I’m planning on doing better in the new year.
