This Monday, I’m doing something different. Usually, I have a book review for you to read, and there was one ready. But then I read about the meme #5OnMyTBR, and I thought it would be fun to join!

The bookish meme #5OnMyTBR

#5OnMyTBR is a bookish meme hosted by E. @ Local Bee Hunter’s Nook and you can learn more about it here or in the post announcing it. It occurs every Monday when we post about 5 books on our TBR.

This weeks prompt was ROMCOM, so I could probably fit my whole TBR on here, but I have to pick 5 out of the 501…

1. From Notting Hill… With Love Actually – Ali McNamara

Added to my TBR: August 9, 2015

This book has been on my TBR since 2015… But I picked it, because I love those two movies. The story is about a girl who loves romantic movies and because of that, has doubts about marrying her sensible fiancé. When she get the chance to housesit in Notting Hill, she jumps at the chance and has a very handsome, but very annoying neighbor. And that sounds so good! It sounds very relatable, funny and awkward.

2. Meet Me At Beachcomber Bay – Jill Mansell

Added to my TBR: May 22, 2017

I don’t even have to read what this book is about, because Jill Mansell always makes sure her books are filled with humor, romance and sometimes a deeper layer that makes me love the book even more. Meet Me At Beachcomber Bay would hopefully be the same.

3. The One That Got Away – Melissa Pimentel

Added to my TBR: July 10, 2017

This book is about Ruby, who was perfect together with Ethan, until they broke up. She goes on to be a career woman, but when her sister gets married, she get reunited with Ethan since he is the best man. Of course she starts to doubt, and I think this sounds like a really cute romance!

4. And One Last Thing – Molly Harper

Added to my TBR: July 10, 2017

When Lacey finds out her husband has been cheating, they get a divorce and she gets her revenge by sending an e-mail to the entire company of her husband, explaining why they broke up.

There’s a lot of backlash, so she escapes to her family’s cabin. There she meets her neighbor Monroe, who isn’t happy about his new neighbor. So of course there will be a lot happening there, and it sounds so embarressing and funny how she has to flee her home.

5. The Proposal – Jasmine Guillory

Added to my TBR: August 13, 2018

I recently read the first book in this ‘series’ (I’m not sure it’s a series, Goodreads says so, but it looks like two stand-alones…). The first book was funny, charming and full of romance, so I’m just taking a leap here and say this one will be too!

And there you have it! I have a loooot of books from before 2018 on my list, and I thought I would use this meme to shine a light on them (and convince myself that I have a lot of cool books to read, and I don’t need all those nice new releases)
