It’s been a while since I last blogged. I’d like to say that’s life kept me busy, but that’s not entirely the real reason.

As I said last time in an update, I have a new job. This job requires more. More from me, more time, just more energy in general. I really like it though, but after work I have no energy left to even think about a subject to blog about. Next to the new job I had another job and a freelance job. You can probably understand that with three jobs, things were kind of busy.

And it was summer, and in summer you do fun things. I went away for a weekend with my friends, I went to visit my sister and walked around her town, caught up over some coffee and just had fun together.

I lived with my boyfriend for a week and a half, because my parents were on vacation. I did some fun things with my niece and there were a few (birthday) parties that I attended.

But when I think back to what I did this summer, I mostly think back to work. I worked constantly and eventually it caught up with me. The stress it brought was too much and it ended with a trip to the emergency room.

Which made me think…

Some things needed to change. I had to make some choices that would benefit my health. So I stopped freelancing. I went to the doctor again and I need a lot of tests to see if there is something going on. I started yoga (finally!). And I started listening to country music, which I find very relaxing.

Now that I have a little more free time, my hands were itching to get back to writing. And that’s exactly what I’m planning to do. This update being the first of hopefully a lot more posts to come.

I already started one of my challenges: 14 days without the Facebook-app on my phone. (up on Monday the 18th)

I also read a lot of books, so I can write some more reviews. (planning to post on Friday’s)

I’m hopefully going on vacation soon, so there will be a new travel blog up this year. (big question mark on when)
