14 sentence book review: A thousand boy kisses
So, I’ve been absent from the blog a while and in that time I had time to read a lot of books. Unfortunately, some of them were not so great. And bad book reviews are no fun. BUT there was this one book I’ve read that was worth to appear on this blog. I’m talking about Tilly Cole’s A thousand boy kisses. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads. Read along to fund out why.
The book review
Be prepared to feel all the feels, in the first fifty pages already. It starts out perfect and I got pulled right in. Switching the viewpoint between the main characters give the book a dept that really helps you connect to both Poppy and Rune. There was this feeling that this could not last, it’s a book after all, something will happen. But the beginning gave me an euphoric feeling that only an amazing written book can give me. I couldn’t put it down.
But of course that something happened and it rips the characters up and me along with them. I felt their pain, because Tilly Cole writes so well. This book makes you want to get your own kiss jar for your own thousand boy kisses.
Throughout the book I had this feeling of impending doom and when it comes, it hurts. I’ll warn you in advance that your heart will completely burst at the end of the book and if you are like me, you’ll shed some tears. Still, the book is totally worth it.
One minor setback that I found was the epilogue. I thought it was unnecessary and didn’t leave me with that euphoric feeling that I had in the beginning.
